ImpactWeather Announces Guardian v2.0
ImpactWeather is proud to announce the debut of Guardian v2.0. The original Guardian offered you unprecedented access to professional-level weather graphics. Guardian v2.0 provides even more weather information and does so with a cleaner look and easier to view data.
- "Zoom memory" which maintains selected zoom level when data refreshes or different products are navigated
- New Land/Water map background with cleaner, easier to view graphics
- Customized color schemes for lightning and radar data
- GIS-style maps with more cities and new colorized maps that are similar to standard road maps
- Animation speed controls
- Enhanced option selectivity with more intuitive dashboard for customizing displays
- Radar archive
- Future Radar extended from 4 hours to 6 hours
- Winter weather section with radar and precipitation forecasts
- This upgrade will be a full overwrite; uninstall of the previous version is not necessary.
- The upgrade is 45MB in size and will install very quickly once it’s been downloaded but download time will vary depending on your connection speed.
- In order to utilize the Guardian v2.0 content, the new plug-in will need to be installed on each workstation where Guardian v2.0 will be used. The original version of Guardian will not be available for use after November 5th.
